At La Lomellina di Gavi Marchese Raggio, vines have been grown for more than 200 years according to the customs of Piemonte’s long winemaking tradition.

Today, our vineyards still include the same parcels of land originally identified for viticulture by the estate’s founders.
However, the vineyards were reorganized in the 2000s, and their extent was increased to cover a total area of 16 contiguous hectares.

marchese raggio

The first planting of vineyards is due to the forward-looking Marco Lomellini: the year 1816 marked the beginning of the important wine-making tradition of Lomellina di Gavi, which led the company to boast 200 years of history in the world of Gavi wine production.

marchese d'azeglio

A part of the noble Raggio lineage is also linked to the name of the great statesman and writer Massimo D'Azeglio. The relaunch of the winery has given rise to the recovery of the land, places and history, by marking the birth of the great Piedmontese wines: the Langhe and Tortonese.

The Oenologist’s Suggestions

Storage

Keep the wine in a cool and dry room at 12-15°C.

Service Temperature

Our wines are best served at 10-12°C.

Pairing

Our Gavi is perfect with fish in particular, but also more in general with appetizers and light first courses. We also recommend to pair it with fresh cheese.
